Nation,
On Thursday's (Sept. 4, 2008) episode of "The Colbert Report," Stephen Colbert talked with pseudo-prophesorial blogger, Adam Brickley of Colorado, who may have conceivably helped Alaska Governor Sarah Palin land the Vice President slot with the Republican nominee, John McCain of Arizona. At the tail end of thier chat, Colbert planted the prospect of his deep-seeded desire to head the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
Interview with Adam Brickley: Founder of “Palin for VP”:
Given Brickley’s prophesized message, which has the familiar ring of a Nostradamus-end-of-the-world to it, maybe Brickley is not the best messenger for Colbert’s message. That, and Brickley openly admitted that he still lives with his mother, thus perpetuating the stereotype that bloggers are male, loners, and spend too much time on the computer while still in their pajamas. (For the record: I do not live with my parents or in a college dormitory, nor do I blog in my pajamas -- let alone own a pair of pajamas – but I’ve already revealed too much.)
What Colbert needs to help bring his seeds for change to full fruition is someone of his own ilk -- a fellow satirist.
And that is where I, T.M. Lindsey, come into the picture.
This site, “Colbert for Head of F.C.C.,” will be dedicated to helping land Colbert on the FCC, where he will help legislate from the bench behind the TV.
Sincerely,
T.M. Lindsey
Unofficial President of Colbert for Head of F.C.C.
